"We wish to thank MRJ for sponsoring our program which was a resounding success. Our objective was to unite the Jewish community in a pro-active celebration of Jerusalem and Judaism; to create a festival that would attract all of the Jewish students on campus and offer them an atmosphere where they could have fun while learning a great deal about our unique heritage, religion, culture and ethnicity..." - student spokesman for University of Florida, Gainesville, recipient of MRJ-ROC grant.
Students prepare for the University of Cincinnati Hillel’s Chocolate Seder, which was “the best attended residence hall program of the year – students were thrilled about this program.”

MRJ's Reform on Campus Program (ROC), provides direct financial grants to groups that seek to strengthen Reform Judaism on college campuses. MRJ'sgoal is to encourage the creation of quality programs of Jewish content that will appeal to a broad range ofReform college students. ROC funds make possible student initiated creative shabbats and retreats, opportunities to bring noted speakers to campus, initiation of social action programs, and make prayer books available. First initiated in 1994, over 300 campuses have been recipients of MRJ/ROC grants.

For more information on acquiring Reform on Campus Grants contact the UAHC College Department at: www.keshernet.com or call (212) 650-4070

Some of the more recent ROC grant recipients include:

Students from the local public school in the Jewish Colony of Avigdor, Argentina, with North American students from the KESHER Argentina Ambassadors Program, a 10-day community building program, which took place in June 2005, and was sponsored in part by MRJ.

Students dress up at the “T’fillah B’Tevah” weekend organized by the Brandeis University Reform Chavurah, an event that “without question… compelled its participants to reflect on their lives as Reform Jews.”
